Creetown Youth Friday Night Sports
The junior session is for children aged 5 – 9 and runs 6pm – 7pm
the senior session is for young people aged 10 – 17, running from 7pm – 8pm.
The sessions are fun, open to all and aimed at all levels and experiences and we deliver skills training on many different sports, including basketball, football, volleyball, netball, badminton, hockey and many others.
We focus on ball skills, team work, hand-eye co-ordination, balance, athleticism and fitness with our younger children and often we are able to put this into practise and encourage the children to play games and matches.
We build on all of this with our older group and allow the young people to pick which sports they’d like to play.
All our youth workers are skilled and trained in delivering sports sessions and one of our youth workers is also a qualified sports coach.
Hi5 Awards
We also offer the Hi5 Awards to our juniors. Hi5 Awards are a new award for children aged 5+ that records and recognises wider achievement.
Young Volunteers
Through our sports sessions, Creetown Initiative also runs a Young Volunteers scheme for young people aged 14 – 25.
